METAL AT THE MOVIES: PART 19: "Black Metal: The Music Of Satan"

Here we are again, with METAL AT THE MOVIES: PART 19 "Black Metal: The Music Of Satan". Bill Zebub has directed and produced a new documentary on the black metal scene entitled "Black Metal: The Music Of Satan" due to be unleashed 1/11/2011.
FROM Bill Zebub VIA BLABBERMOUTH.NET:
Some people think of church burnings and murders when the hear the word "black metal." This documentary is not for them.

Bill Zebub wanted to prove that a documentary about black metal could still be entertaining without using sensationalism. You get to see most artists express themselves candidly, while of course some people embarrass themselves with their facades... But that's entertainment.

From the mind of Grimoire magazine and films like "Death Metal: Are We Watching You Die?", "Metal Retardation" and "Black Metal: Norwegian Legacy", "Black Metal: The Music Of Satan" features interviews with VENOM, DARKTHRONE, BEHEMOTH, IMMORTAL, CRADLE OF FILTH and tons more.

Check out a trailer for the movie below.

CHRISTMAS METAL (EUROPEAN) TOUR with SIX FEET UNDER, DISBELIEF, LIES and HASTUR CANCELLED

COME SEE THIS TOUR MOTHERFUCKER!! EUROPE 2010 German death metal warriors DISBELIEF have confirmed that the December European CHRISTMAS METAL TOUR with SIX FEET UNDER is officially (last minute) cancelled.
FROM DISBELIEF:
Concerning the Christmas Metal Tour with SIX FEET UNDER, DISBELIEF would like to let you know that we are very sorry about the fact that this tour was cancelled in the last minute.

"From the booking agency of the tour we got the message that the tour was cancelled two days before tour start! DISBELIEF contacted SIX FEET UNDER and they sent us their point of view. We cannot tell any details, but we have now two oppositional statements which we have to live with. Those who suffered the most are the fans, who already bought their tickets and the bands as well as the venues, who had efforts and costs! This fact is unacceptable and leaves a foul taste of disappointment for all participators!

"However, the fact of this cancellation (after overcoming the shock) cannot stop the path of DISBELIEF.

"With this statement we want to show our fans why we can't come to your city to play for you. And by the way, we also want to let you know what ugly things are sometimes going on in this business. At the same time, DISBELIEF can also announce some good things. We were successful in looking for our new constant lineup! In addition to our new drummer Corny Althammer (AHAB, DEADEYEDSLEEPER) and new guitar player Wolfgang Rothbauer (IN SLUMBER, THIRDMOON), Alex Hagenauer (SOUL DEMISE) on guitar will help us out in early 2011 and will then join as a permanent band member! Welcome to the band!

"This short-term cancellation of the tour actually resulted in the fact that DISBELIEF (as a new formed band) verified themselves by extensive rehearsing and at the same time by starting the songwriting process for the new DISBELIEF output. The first song lets us suspect that many big things will happen with this new spirit in the band!

"To all our fans, this is not the end of DISBELIEF, this is the beginning of a new chapter!

"DISBELIEF will arrange a headlining tour in April/May 2011 to make up for the cancelled shows. More details will follow soon!"

Drummer Kai Bergerin recently left DISBELIEF due to "private" reasons which make it "impossible" for him to embark on long tours. Guitarist Witali Weber, on the other hand, exited the group "because of personal differences."

DISBELIEF'd 20th-anniversary album, "Heal", was released on May 21 via Massacre Records. The CD contains eight songs, including three cover versions and a remake of the classic track "Shine". The first album to be recorded and mixed by the DISBELIEF members themselves, "Heal" also features four original compositions which "are meant to be a tribute to bands who influenced us a lot over those two decades concerning their music and attitude!!" according to the group.
"Heal" was released with a bonus DVD containing footage of a complete DISBELIEF show from the Walpurgis Metal Days in 2009.

DISBELIEF's "Protected Hell" album was released in April 2009 via Massacre Records. The LP, which was recorded at MX studio in Buchen, Germany with producer Michael Mainx, was made available as a limited-edition digipack and regular jewel case CD.

FROM SIX FEET UNDER:

"Circumstances and events beyond our control has forced the cancellation of our December tour in Europe. We are deeply aware of the burden this puts on our loyal fans and we apologize . We live to play in front of our Fans and our commitment to our European fans could not be stronger. You have always been there for Six Feet Under and we do not take that for Granted. You are important to US! In April 2011 we will do a tour of Europe to support our new DVD "Wake The Night! Live In Germany". We will make up as many of these canceled dates as possible while adding many more. Thank you for understanding but more importantly, thanks for supporting Six Feet Under"

With the new album 'Stand Up And Fight' in the pipeline for release, we are soon taking to the road! Full-length tours with Cradle of Filth (USA / Can) and Die Apokalyptischen Reiter (Europe) have already been announced, and now TURISAS are very excited to announce a handful of very select headline shows in the UK, France, Belgium and The Netherlands.

Olli Vänskä comments: "It's been a while since we've played anywhere in the UK or Continental Europe.... Time to fix that! I'm especially happy about doing the British club shows - it feels like so long since we've toured there (not counting the odd festival appearance). UK crowds are wild and they've always made us feel welcome over there. Thinking back, some of our best ever shows have been in the UK and Continental Europe, and we have no doubt that these shows will be something very special as well. We can't wait to show off the new look and play some mean new tunes!

And as for all you maniacs in Paris, Amsterdam and Vosselaar; by the time these shows come around it will have been nearly two years since we've seen you - but believe me, it WILL be worth the wait! We have something particularly savage in mind for you guys!"

ITP WORLD APOCALYPSE: "AS THE PALACES BURN": LONDON UK STUDENTS PROTEST TUITION INCREASES

"London's burning with boredom now
London's burning dial 99999

I'm up and down the Westway, in an' out the lights
What a great traffic system - it's so bright
I can't think of a better way to spend the night
Then speeding around underneath the yellow lights

London's burning with boredom now
London's burning dial 99999

Now I'm in the subway and I'm looking for the flat
This one leads to this block, this one leads to that
The wind howls through the empty blocks looking for a home
I run through the empty stone because I'm all alone

London's burning with boredom now...
London's burning dial 99999--THE CLASH- "London Calling" ANARCHY IN THE UK: London is burning, as 50, 000 students are protesting college tuition increases, lack of employment, and lack of a substantial future for the UK youth. You say you want a revolution?, it's happening right now.

CHILDREN OF BODOM UNVEILS ALBUM COVER, TRACK LISTING FOR NEW RECORD "RELENTLESS RECKLESS FOREVER"

Finnish metal heroes CHILDREN OF BODOM have announced the tracklisting, CD cover and have entitled the bands new release "RELENTLESS RECKLESS FOREVER" due to be unleashed ON MARCH 8, 2011 via Universal Music.

HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM FROM AWARD-WINNING BAND TOUTED AS “THE PERFECT STORM”
FROM CHILDREN OF BODOM MYSPACE:
HD TRAILER FOR BAND's NEW MUSIC VIDEO "WAS IT WORTH IT?" NOW AVAILABLE

CHILDREN OF BODOM (also COB), the hard partying Finnish Heavy Metal band that features frontman and modern day guitar hero Alexi Laiho will release its new album Relentless Reckless Forever on March 8, 2011 via Universal Music. Today, COB reveals the album's cover art, which can be viewed now at this location.

Recorded in Finland's Petrax Studios with famed rock producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Monster Magnet), Relentless Reckless Forever is the seventh studio album of CHILDREN OF BODOM's illustrious career and the first new record from the band since 2008's Blooddrunk, which debuted at #22 on Billboard's Top 200 Chart and scored the quintet its third consecutive #1 debut in Finland. On Relentless Reckless Forever, COB's high-energy hooks and electric energy forge stadium-sized heavy metal anthems that seethe with both marvelous musicianship and a phenomenal pop prowess. The quintet's unique union of haunting melodies, rhythmic sensibility, guitar-and-keyboard interplay and king-size solos is supercharged to the maximum, and the resulting record is poised to push the band – already on the brink of breakout success in the U.S. – to an altogether new pinnacle.

"We worked super hard on this album, at least for me it was pretty much no sleep or rest for six weeks," stated Laiho. "But we were determined to make the best COB album ever, so we were willing to do whatever it took. Of course, having our producer Matt Hyde kicking our asses 24/7 definitely made the results even better, so obviously we're more than anxious to get this album out there"

The first single and video from Relentless Reckless Forever is "Was it Worth It?". COB shot a high energy music video for the track, joining forces with two-time X Games gold medalist and two-time Thrasher Magazine "Skater of the Year" Chris Cole as well as noted pro skaters Jamie Thomas, Garrett Hill and Tom Asta (the current #1 Amateur skateboarder in the world). Filmed on location at central Pennsylvania's residential Action Sports compound Camp Woodward and directed by Dale Resteghini for Raging Nation Films (Pink Floyd, Santana, Mötley Crüe), the video was shot guerrilla style, sans treatment; honing in directly on CHILDREN OF BODOM's high-spirited fire and the skaters' eye-opening execution. A high resolution trailer for the clip can be viewed now at www.relentlessrecklessforever.com.

The track listing for CHILDREN OF BODOM's Relentless Reckless Forever is as follows:

1.) Not My Funeral
2.) Shovel Knockout
3.) Roundtrip to Hell and Back
4.) Pussyfoot Miss Suicide
5.) Relentless Reckless Forever
6.) Ugly
7.) Cry of the Nihilist
8.) Was It Worth It?
9.) Northpole Throwdown
10.) Party All the Time (* Eddie Murphy)

"The single 'Was It Worth It?' is a total party song, said Laiho. "It's not your typical Bodom sound, but it's one of my favorites and heavy as hell."
