ALCEST: ISSUE STUDIO REPORT

French ambient/shoegaze black metal duo ALCEST have issued this studio report as the band is hard at work recording a new offering in ICELAND due to be unleashed later this year. ALCEST have announced guest vocalist NEIL HALSTEAD (SLOWDIVE, MOJAVE 3) and Billie Lindahl (PROMISE AND THE MONSTER) for the bands anticipated new release.

Hey there,

Today was the first day off I had since we started the recordings almost 3 weeks ago. We rented a car and went away in the Icelandic nature, taking advantage of the mindblowing landscapes and relaxing. We really needed this ! At the moment drums, guitars, bass and a part of the vocals are done. Billie from Promise And The Monster was here a few days ago to record her parts, everything went great. The album takes shape slowly but surely...
Getting ready for Iceland, the island with the most monumental and desolate landscape I have seen. Very excited to record some cinematic blackgaze/metal at the Sundlaugin studio with Alcest.
