NAILS: Early 2011 Live Attacks Confirmed; Demos For Next Album Underway

California hardcore warriors NAILS live shows as the band is demoing for a new 2011 release.
FROM EARSPLIT PR:
eigning as one of the harshest, heaviest bands bearing placement in the realms of hardcore, California trio NAILS have worked their way through the ranks quickly in the past year. From a brand new name a year ago, to one of the scene’s most talked-about acts and one of the most unhinged, crushing acts to ever sign to Southern Lord Recordings, NAILS are currently demoing songs for their upcoming follow-up release to 2010’s acclaimed Unsilent Death 14-minute-long full-length massacre. View a few random shots of the recording sessions below, and stay tuned for more details on the new album to be unveiled shortly.

While recording, the band are remaining active, with an onslaught of live performances confirmed for the coming months including a three-date assault on the Northeast US, appearances at Scion Rock Fest, the New England Metal & Hardcore Fest, Maryland Deathfest, Rain Fest and more, with a ton of other actions in the planning stages.

“…stick your face in front of the speakers when their music is on, and prepare for third-degree burns. The Kurt Ballou-produced album is one of the most focused, frenetic and fanfuckingtastic efforts to merge grind’s relentlessness with hardcore’s muscular whomp.” – Decibel

“It’s as if Phobia, Nasum, Dismember, Cursed and Despise You squeezed out a blackened placenta of distorted bass walls, guitars that sound like aluminum on fire, and Jones doing his best imitation of himself being stabbed in the throat. 9/10″ – Outburn

“Seemingly coming out of nowhere, Unsilent Death is a fantastic sophomore album from Nails that should provide them with some inclusion alongside some of the best up-and-coming bands in the hardcore scene. 4/5″ – Metal Underground
