ITP V.013 UPDATE: BBL WITH MORE METAL NEWS, FEATURES ECT.

ITP V.013 UPDATE: ITP V.013 got slammed with metal news yesterday and printed only 40% of the news, as the rest will be published on the long belated ITP METAL FEATURE "NOTES FROM THE EXTREME METAL UNDERGROUND" to be posted later this month.

How I voted regarding ROCK and ROLL HALL OF FAME NOMINEES:
NIRVANA VS. REPLACEMENTS: NIRVANA (the late JACK GOLDBERG JACK's RHYTHMS, NEW PALTZ might kick my ass over this decision when I get to heaven)

NIRVANA VS. DEEP PURPLE: HOWEVER: I voted for both NIRVANA and DEEP PURPLE..Perhaps there's generation gap between NIRVANA and DEEP PURPLE fans. I'm 43 and a generation x'er. I feel DEEP PURPLE are far more influential to my musicianship than NIRVANA. JON LORD (and RITCHIE BLACKMORE) being very influential on the keyboards. Perhaps I started listening to rock and roll at a young age.
I'll take ALICE IN CHAINS over NIRVANA. Get AIC a nomination, although NIRVANA will win over DEEP PURPLE regarding radio friendly unit shifters, and a younger fan base.

NWA VS. LL COOL J: NWA as "Fuck The Police, "Straight Outta Compton", "It don't matta just don't bite it" are influential jams, a CNN into urban America, and a rally cry against police brutality.NWA's break up was perfect for hip hop. DR. DRE as a solo artist and producer still is highly influential, ICE CUBE is also amazing, as DRE should be nominated solo. LL COOL J has some good jams, and delivered live specifically on MTV UNPLUGGED, and the chicks dig him. LL COOL J will win over NWA as more accessible, "safer" music and he's still active, and hosting awards shows.

KISS: From "Destroyer", "Detroit rock City". "rock and Roll all night and party..", the amazing live shows and face paint, merch marketing KISS are STILL highly influential and one of the rock and roll greats.

PETER GABRIEL VS. YES: I voted for BOTH. I'll take PETER GABRIEL (formerly of GENESIS), and it's a tough call over the prog rock legends YES. I love PETER's integration of world music, great songwriting, Daniel Lanois's production, good live shows, social/political consciousness. Of course PETER GABRIEL's "So" is a classic release. PETER GABRIEL's bassist TONY LEVIN and drummers MANU KATCHE and JERRY MAROTTA are GODLY, great songwriting and musicianship and the only no brainer vote.

I voted for NIRVANA and YES over all the other nominees.(WILDCARDS).

Sorry about the delay on ITP metal news features and reviews, if all goes well, I'll resurrect all of ITP NEWS FEATURES and REVIEWS real soon, I've been busy.

As ITP stated last week, ITP REVIEWS and NEW FEATURES depends upon TIME, and all ITP REVIEWS, (a month after posting, sans the MUSIC) will be licensed CREATIVE COMMONS from now on.

BTW, CREATIVE COMMONS does not waive an artists or writers rights to copy write, I could and maybe will copy write ITP V.09-V.013 reviews ect. as CREATIVE COMMONS modifies copyright, under flexibility, for sharing info.
