FROM SHADOW WOODS METAL FESTIVAL 2015 PROMOTERS:
Please keep telling your friends about the fest. The venue is just about 2 hours from Pittsburgh, Philly and Baltimore. We hope to attract folks from the entire mid-Atlantic for a great weekend of music, interesting workshops, great food, camping and bonfires. Our location is chill and so is our attitude. Imagine that it's going to be like one of those hippie jam band fests. Except without all the hippies and tie-dye. And no jam bands. But otherwise, exactly the same

Bands will perform on Friday, September 25 and Saturday,September 26 from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. each day on two alternating stages. No bandswill overlap so you can see every band if you want. We will have onsitefood vendors operating out of the kitchen, including vegan and vegetarianoptions, but we can't have grills or campfires in the tent or cabin areas. You are welcome to bring any foods that don’trequire cooking. We will have vendors(such as jewelry and record distros), a band merch area and workshops going onthroughout the weekend in the lodge. We will have a couple of large community bonfires going.
When the tickets go on sale in February, they will include accessto the entire fest, tent camping and workshops. As long as you are inside thecamp property, you can bring a tent or sleep in your car or the ground underthe stars. We have 21 acres of space in which to camp.
Near the cabins, there are showers, flush toilets, changingrooms, and electrical outlets. Tent campers have access to the showers andbathrooms that are located in the cabin area. There will also be some rentaltoilets.
As for the six cabins, we intend to put them up for “auction.”The six highest bidders must pre-pay for the cabins and have the option offilling them up with 12 friends. (More details the cabin auction soon!) Each cabin has electricity and twin-sized beds (more like cots but a bit nicer.) We will have vendors, a band merch area andworkshops going on throughout the weekend in the lodge. There is NO SMOKINGinside the cabins or any buildings on the grounds.
There is a Family Dollar variety store about a 1/2 mile from campentrance road where you could buy some supplies. Hotels/motels and other shops and restaurants are about a 20-30 minute drive away (Chambersburg) should you choose to stay offsite. A list of recommended list of hotels andmotels will be posted soon on the website.
There will be NO ALCOHOL SOLD at the fest; it is BYOB.Because of that, we have decided to make the fest 21+. If you are familiar with PA liquor laws, youwill understand that alcohol is sold at special stores. Please plan ahead and fillyour coolers in advance. (We will have limited quantities of ice in the kitchen). At the request of the property owners, please NO GLASSBOTTLES. Cans of beer and boxes of wine are the way to go.
We are sure there will be many more questions aswe go along. We will try to answer them here. Thanks-Stay Metal, Stay Brutal-\m/ -l-
