LMAO.
Honestly, NICK LACKEY (N SYNC) killed it on his jam with FOO FIGHTERS. You know why?
Good songwriting + Good band+ Good vocals=sounds good.
As DAVE GROHL is super talented.
If N-SUCK had the organic instrumentation and songwriting, with a live band, perhaps I could tolerate them.

This brings up an issue with pop music production.
What's with "the box" that DAVE GROHL speaks of?.
I know what DAVE (GROHL) is saying, the generic pop music, synth, drum machine, production, just press one button.
ICK. I honestly couldn't even listen to AMY WINEHOUSE and appreciate her talent until she played an acoustic gig, just vocals and guitar, with out the cheesy pop productions. In that format. AMY WINEHOUSE's talent was very bright.

Another example, RIHANNA's hit single "Umbrella", I never gave a shit with that generic pop production, and while I like hawt women, I don't need her (RIHANNA'S) ass in my face nor her choreography.
While RIHANNA doesn't write her own music, "CHRISTOPHER STEWART, TERIUS NASH, KUK HARRELL and SHAWN CARTER" had a good track until the pop/hip hop/r and b production ruined it.

Now, take RIHANNA's "Umbrella" in the format of a stripped down acoustic/vocals cover courtesy of BOYCE AVENUE..

BOYCE AVENUE acoustic cover of RIHANNA's "Umbrella" is addicting as the song is way better than one might think, sans the pop/hip hop.r and b production mess.
Dump "The one button box", auto tune, vocoder, synth, drum machine pop production mess and bring rock and pop back to an organic influence with quality vocals..
Only then will rock and pop communicate volumes.

ITP V.016 EDITORS NOTE: Can't confirm or deny this, I'll bet you this is how the songwriters originally wrote this song.
