Music and culture webzine PITCHFORK has featured an insightful article on BREXIT VOTE's impact on the music industry including touring visas, copy right, festivals, artists funding and more.
Yesterday, 6/24/2016 British citizens voted to LEAVE the European Union after over 40 years.
Scotland and Ireland voted in EU.
ITP V.016 EDITORS NOTE:
In the context of the BREXIT VOTE. it's possible (not confirmed) that UK (British) bands will need a VISA just to tour the European Union mainland, and will be taxed (more) and need a carnat detailing equipment.
Ironically, not much different than touring NORTH AMERICA (post 9/11) as even that is bureaucratic for American bands touring their home continent.
England's BREXIT VOTE could possibly be more bureaucratic and expensive to export bands.
BTW, on a non music bizz related note, hoping for a united Ireland.
