ITP V.017 QUARTERLY: Here it is, it no particular order, the best extreme metal releases WINTER 2017:









1: A star (*) represents definitely one of the  best extreme metal releases of 2017, as of yet, although the year is still young.

2: This list will be updated with a few more releases this week, as (spoiler alert) this journal entry will be the ITP V.017 featured post of the week.

3-Only WINTER 2017 releases, ITP V.017 BEST of 2nd QUARTER SPRING 2017 RELEASES will be posted in SUMMER 2017 (depending on time).

4-The year is still young, as this list is not based upon popularity of band, project or sub genre, nor veteran status of band/project, as industrial will be added too. If you're not in the know, the metal gods and goddesses will drop alot of death metal releases upon us this year in 2017, no guarantee of quality.

5-ITP V.017 is listing the best of 2017 quarterly,  simply because I never do, and realizing how many great, obscure releases dropped in 2016, I should be organized about this.

6-If ITP's author has time, maybe I'll go backwards for a best of 2016, as despite the tragedies and drama, the music was awesome.

STRANGEST CONTROVERSIES IN METAL:
 BAY AREA ANTIFA VS. MARDUK:
This issue seemed to bring out the worst in everyone. Americans ignorance on Euro culture and European ignorance on U.S. social political issues is distressing  Third Reich as shock value.:rolls eyes: I'm anti-censorship. However, pick up a real history book on the issue of WWII (or watch documentaries), and understand every angle including the resistance in every Euro and Scandinavian country, and the Holocaust.
Understand many of your grandparents served, as many non white soldiers came back to Jim Crow laws here in the U.S.A. .
In reality, the third Reich got their butts kicked, F**ck Nazis, I'm so glad we won. Hug a WW2 allied forces and resistance veteran.

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES at AWARDS SHOWS (GRAMMY AWARDS and ACADEMY AWARDS) :
I'm not a "Grannie" fan. Despite JAMES HETFIELD's mic being out of order (METALLICA were mandated into using the GRAMMY AWARDS soundtech, not their own) , the LADY GA GA/METALLICA collaboration seemed like a great idea as she sounded awesome. When they JAMES HETFIELD/LADY GA GA) shared a microphone, it was amazing.

The Grammy awards played a METALLICA song during MEGADETH'S epic win for best metal/hard rock grammy as DAVE MUSTAINE was gracious.


THE ACADEMY AWARDS: 
I'm glad MOONLIGHT won, as the winner of best picture was misread for another film. correction MOONLIGHT won, congrats to all nominated.
