ERIK LINDMARK, vocalist/guitarist for California death metal warriors DEEDS OF FLESH and also CEO of UNIQUE LEADER RECORDS passed away today from SCLEROSIS at 45.
DEEDS OF FLESH unleashed "PORTALS TO CANAAN", 6/25/2013 via UNIQUE LEADER RECORDS.

1972-2018
It is with great sadness that we must announce that our CEO & Founder, Erik Lindmark, passed away today after battling with Sclerosis.
The indelible mark he has left on the Death Metal genre is monumental, both as a business man and as a musician. After building this label from scratch with his Deeds bandmates, Erik took Unique Leader to a level he had never expected it, or the genre, to get to.
During his time in Hospital, Erik was absolutely implicit with his instructions to staff to go full steam ahead with the label in his absence- which is exactly what we intend to do.
That being said, we will not be releasing anything in January so that we can make the necessary adjustments and delegations within the company. We would like to thank you all for your well wishes, support and kindness toward Erik on socials and via private correspondence.

Michael Hamilton put it better than we ever could hope to, he and Erik were extremely instrumental with teaching us the ropes of being a professional touring musician in every facet from performing to professionalism. We jokingly used to refer to them as our “death metal parents”, rest in power Erik, thank you for all you have done for the us, we wouldn’t be anything without you brother.

“There are few people in this world that have profound effect on how important things are shaped . Erik Lindmark is one of those few. Strong in Character Strong in Vision ,Strong in Talent and execution of this Vision. It blows my mind and that one person has created such a huge impact in the world of Extreme Metal with the Powerhouse of a band that is Deeds of Flesh and the Label that helped catapult a unique style of Extreme Metal in Unique Leader Records . As I sit here and write this I'm am in Shock and Awe that he is no longer with us in this material world. I lost a Friend a Brother and a Bandmate to whom I will never forget our journey together . He paved a Path and laid the blueprints for future generations to follow.
In my opinion, Erik is responsible for the success of so many Bands, Musicians, Studio Engineers, and Artist that are fortunate to make their Mark in this world using the voice of Extreme Metal.
I know personally I have grown to be the drummer I am today by being challenged and guided by Eriks vision and drive and for that I am forever indebted to him.Thankyou Erik for the opportunity and Honor of being in Deeds of Flesh and believing in my talents and shared vision.Love You Brother!!!
