RICHARD BRUNELLE, former guitarist of Tampa, Florida, U.S.A.  death metal pioneers MORBID ANGEL and guitarist for MOSAIC COVENANT passed away 9/23/2019 at 55.











RICHARD BRUNELLE was featured (GUITAR) on the first three MORBID ANGEL releases "ALTARS OF MADNESS", "BLESSED ARE THE SICK" and "ABOMINATIONS OF DESOLATION".

Richard Gene Brunelle; Age: 55 (born Sep 6th, 1964); R.I.P.: Sep 23rd, 2019.
It is with our deepest sadness and respect that we send our condolences to, Richard Gene Brunelle’s family on his passing.
Richard was, and will always be a key member of Morbid Angel, and on the 30th Anniversary year of "Altars of Madness" his contributions to the band’s recordings, as well as the groups many live shows were special on every level. He was an artist, a total professional, with a great work ethic, and a close friend in the years we spent together.
We traversed the world, through many countries and continents and forging fantastic experiences and friendships with livelong fans everywhere.
We and his many fans world wide will miss him. He will live on in the music he helped to create. You can truly hear his solid guitar work and great solos on the first two MORBID ANGEL albums, and if you want to get closer to his excellent guitar playing and melodic soul just listen to his wonderful piece on the album “Blessed are the Sick": Desolate Ways.
We will miss you Richard. RIP.
