LACERATION are a Northern California death metal band. After various demos, splits and a compilation, LACERATION have finally released the bands first full length and debut release  "DEMISE".

LACERATION'S "DEMISE" kicks off with the title track, an instrumental with an acoustic intro, fore boding the evil intensity to come..

LACERATION'S "VERBAL EXPIRATION" evokes a good groove with some excellent rhythm guitar riffs. At 1:15,  "VERBAL EXPIRATION" shreds an excellent rhythm guitar riff as it rides the track and fits well. Vocalist Luke Cazares vocals are a death metal rasp, and audible.

LACERATION'S "BED OF NAILS", is heavy as hell, complete with blast beats and tight musicianship."BED OF NAILS" also features some awesome guitar solos. .. .

LACERATION'S "MONOLITH" is chock full of quality riffs, spiced up with some melodic rhythm guitar and good solos. .

LACERATION'S  "INHUMATION"  begins with  epic rhythm guitar riffs. At 3:53 "INHUMATION" slows down the pace to end the track.

LACERATION'S "PERPETUAL SICKNESS" is an evil as hell track.LACERATION drummer "FAUSTINO" lays down the hammer with both groove and blast beats as a rolling riff drifts through the track.

LACERATION'S "HUMAN MALEVOLENCE" features a groovy and melodic riff and some excellent drumming.

LACERATION'S  "IMITATION" destroys the mind as at 1:06 the band picks up the pace with a well executed thrash beat seguing into blast beats and tasty riffing for a well written track.

LACERATION'S  "WEAPONIZED DOMINION" evokes old school 90's death metal, played tight with conviction. "WEAPONIZED DOMINION" features excellent musicianship, sure to get pit going.

LACERATION'S "PARASOMNIA" enters in as a mid paced thrashy death metal track with some understated rhythm guitar playing, heavy as hell with melodic moments and good, emotive guitar solos.

LACERATION'S  "DEMISE" closes with "SEVERED INNOCENCE". Chock full of tasty riffs, the band destroys everything its path. "SEVERED INNOCENCE" features a definitive riff as the track  pulverizes the senses instantly with some chunky riffs. At 1:52,  "SEVERED INNOCENCE". delivers an understated riff, a good break down during the gory madness.

LACERATION are the culmination of various early 90's death metal. An amalgamation of influences as diverse as MALEVOLENT CREATION, early DEATH, early PESTILENCE and SUFFOCATION.

While LACERATION aren't overly technical, the musicianship is excellent with a focus on rhythm guitar riffs and dive whammy solos.

LACERATION'S  "DEMISE" features excellent songwriting and enough tasty riffs to eat a meal.

LACERATION have really progressed past their early trash demos and have found  some brutal footing.

If you like late 80's, early 90's old school death metal, you will absolutely ADORE LACERATION'S  "DEMISE".

Get in the pit, you're in for a brutal ride.  .
