I was totally shocked to hear the very sad news of Jeff Beck’s passing.
Jeff was such a nice person and an outstanding iconic, genius guitar player - there will never be another Jeff Beck. His playing was very special and distinctively brilliant!!!
He will surely be missed.
R.I.P Jeff.

FROM OZZY OSBOURNE:
I can’t express how saddened I am to hear of Jeff Beck’s passing. What a terrible loss for his family, friends & his many fans. It was such an honor to have known Jeff & an incredible honor to have had him play on my most recent album, Patient Number 9. I’ll remember him fondly. Long live #JeffBeck.

FROM EDDIE TRUNK:   FROM RONNIE WOOD:
Now Jeff has gone, I feel like one of my band of brothers has left this world, and I’m going to dearly miss him. I’m sending much sympathy to Sandra, his family, and all who loved him. I want to thank him for all our early days together in the Jeff Beck Group, conquering America for the first time. Musically, we were breaking all the rules, it was fantastic, groundbreaking rock ’n’ roll! Listen to the incredible track ‘Plynth’ in his honour. Jeff, I will always love you. God bless 🙏

FROM CARL PALMER (ELP):

Jeff Beck
My condolences go out to the Beck family.
Jeff will be deeply missed. He gave so much to the world with his guitar playing! I always thought so and so did Keith Emerson. He would have been a great guitarist to have in ELP. We talked about Jeff many times as a band.
We all miss you, Jeff.
~Carl

FROM JOE SATRIANI:

Jeff Beck was a genius, a stunning original. He was an astounding guitar player with more ways to make you go, “WTF was that?” than anybody else. He was profoundly talented, and never stopped innovating on the instrument.
He had an enormous impact on my guitar playing, my musicianship and my soul. When I was a beginner, I would spend hours trying to jam along with his solo albums. I found his approach to the instrument so inspiring. I was fascinated with his unusual arrangements and his aggressive guitar tones. He always stood out as a unique player: He was always, purely “Jeff Beck”.
His solo albums were all groundbreaking, “ahead of their time”, and paved the way for me and so many other guitarists around the world. And they were fun to listen to, over and over again.
I had the pleasure of saying hello to Jeff a few times, once when Chickenfoot went to see him play at the Fox Theater in Oakland, and a second time when we were all playing at the BosPop Festival in The Netherlands. We all had a fun jam backstage that day.
Unfortunately, I didn’t ever get to really know him. I hope he knew how much I admired, revered and respected him. When I finish writing this I will go and listen to Jeff’s “Where Were You” a few times and thank him for giving us so much beautiful music.
My deepest condolences to his family and close friends. R.I.P. Jeff

FROM OPETH:
”Another legendary musician has passed, and yet again we find ourselves in a state of shock. Not only was his passing sudden and unexpected, we also lost one of the most influential and innovative guitarists ever. Personally I’ve been a fan of his early solo records for a long time, ”Truth” and ”Beck-Ola”. Pivotal rock classics in my view. I’ve also enjoyed his time with the Yardbirds, especially ”Roger the engineer” from 1966. Great stuff. On top of that, Fredrik has played his more recent stuff a lot on the road, and it’s been more than enjoyable. To hear a musician of his status (and age) still searching for new ways. He still seemed endlessly curios in what he could do with his instrument. A memory springs to mind. Even if I never met him in person, myself and Mendez were sat on the table next to Jeff and Ronnie Wood (Faces, Rolling stones, and of course the Jeff Beck band) at the Classic Rock awards in London. The two of them were deep in a loud conversation, crying with laughter throughout the night. I couldn’t make out what they’re talking about, but I’d have loved to be a fly on the…table, for some eavesdropping. It was nice and highly inspirational to see two old friends of that status (and age) hanging out like they probably always have. From what I gather Jeff was "just a normal” bloke, but with abnormal abilities. That’s something I have always appreciated myself, and ultimately how I’d want to be if I’m ever in possession of "abnormal abilities". Right now, I’m just a normal bloke. Kind of. Anyways, we wish to extend our warmest condolences to Jeffs family as well as to his friends and fans.”
