Today Dani from urban legends Cradle Of Filth hits a milestone Filthty years of age!
Again!
His first volume of poetry, ‘A Massive Intake of Breasts’, was heralded by widespread scorn and rightly so, this lurid tome of abominable filth was later burned in fifteen countries across Europe and once famously caused Pope Pius VI to vomit.
His later years are murky, dappled with tales of arcane sorcery, bloodlust and boating lakes, and it is rumoured that he was actually present at the infamous Villa Diodata gathering with Shelley and Byron, and that his story that night was so inconceivably fiendish, so utterly evil, that the four others wrote his name forever out of their history.
That said, he also enjoys a spot of vacuuming, collecting real monsters and above all, Parma Violet sweets.
Anyway, I hope you'll join all of us in wishing him an amazing 'Hippy Barfday!', on this Santiago Apostol, the 25th of July, 2023e.h.
You can next see the Filthy One in the flesh playing with Cradle Of Filth on August 27th at the MM Open Air festival in Portugal. He will be the one onstage looking ever-so slightly wiser!
