 Paris, France and California, U.S.A. drone-doom trio SUNN O)) have announced the band will release a new single on SUB POP RECORDS, to be unleashed 10/25/2023.

SUNN O))) are proud to announce a new collaboration with the legendary Seattle label SUB POP RECORDS.

We have been invited to participate in their historical "Singles Club vol 8", and the digital release will emerge on October 25th 2023, with the 7" record to be sent to Singles Club subscribers soon after.

Two brand new pieces were recorded during our Shoshin (初心) Duo tour VIP soundchecks on our US turn at the end of 22/early 23 by our FOH master, Chris Fullard.

We took the material to Seagrass Studios and worked with Brad Wood to arrange, edit and produce.

Matt Colton cut the vinyl at Metropolis in London.

In SUNN O))) 's 25th year, this is an extraordinary "full-circle" moment for us. We grew up in north Seattle, began our musical collaboration in Seattle in the early 90s and were raised on the SUB POP singles series those days. The series had an incredible history, with many of our favourite bands participating. It's also SUB POP's 35th anniversary, EARTH2's 30th anniversary, and the SUNN O))) MODEL T's 50th anniversary this year!

SUNN O))) would like to thank Jonathan Poneman, Nick Turner and all of the SUB POP team for inviting us into this legacy.

We will celebrate the release with an extraordinary concert on November 21st at The Moore Theatre in Seattle with support by Earth (performing "Earth2") and Jesse Sykes (w/ Phil Wandscher).
