TRONDHEIM METAL FEST 3/14-16, 2013 (5 VENUES), TRONDHEIM, NORWAY CONFIRM: HATEBREED, GOJIRA, NAPALM DEATH, ANNAL NATHRAKH and more

Promoters for the 2013 edition of TRONDHEIM METAL FEST, set to take place 3/14-16, 2013 (5 VENUES), TRONDHEIM, NORWAY have confirmed HATEBREED, GOJIRA, NAPALM DEATH, ANNAL NATHRAKH, and more.

Ideen om Trondheim MetalFest ble unnfanget av duoen bak Trøndercore Records, Eirik Tiller og Peter Bains, og ble for første gang arrangert Lørdag 6. Mars, 2010. Lineup´n bestod da av 6 lokale band og ble arrangert med stor dugnadsånd, både fra arrangører, artister, og frivillige. Resultatet ble enheidundranes feststemt helaften med over 400 publikummere, og resultatet kan ses på den kommende “Trondheim MetalFest″ dvd´n. Et kameracrew med 5 kamera filmet hele konserten, som ble klippet sammen av Whitestar Productions.

Målet for festivalen er å kunne presentere både nye og etablerte metallband for et større publikum, med hovedvekt på regionale band. I tillegg ønsker vi hvert år å kunne tilby 1-2 større, internasjonale headlinere som i utgangspunktet sjeldent, eller aldri ville ha tatt turen til Trondheim. Vi ønsker også at Trondheim MetalFest skal være noe mer enn bare band på en scene, og vi prøver hvert år å finne nye måter å gjøre denne festivalopplevelsen til noe litt utenom det vanlige.

Vi er selv musikere og brenner for det lokale musikkmiljøet og alle de fantastiske bandene vi har her i Trøndelag. Dette er vår måte å bidra til stimulering av miljøet og ikke minst heve den midterste fingeren til all den kritikken mot musikkmiljøet i Trondheim, og bevise en gang for alle at Trondheimsmetallen ihvertfall lever i BESTE velgående! Vi håper at også du vil være med å feire vårt lokalmiljø og ønsker deg hjertelig velkommen til en stemningsfylt “3-dagers” med mange spennende band og knallbra stemning!

Here we go again, boys and girls! It's now 2013, which means the 11th edition of MDF is right around the corner. Two pats on the back if you can recognize every logo on this flyer. Three pats on the back if you don't lose sleep over where the logo of your favorite band is on a flyer with over 70 logos. See you in 136 days!

Also, if you're scanning for the Morgion logo on this flyer, they will not be playing. We attempted to book them again after they had to cancel last year, but long story short, there are still too many roadblocks in the way that will keep them from playing this year. As we already had to move Sleep to the Sunday show, there will not be another band added in replace of Morgion.
