NOH8 has inspired progress in the push for marriage equality, as Washington State LEGALIZED gay marriages via the state House Of Representatives this week.

EDITORS NOTE: Yeh, it says restricted domain, on BLOGSPOT, no thanks HUFFINGTON POST for not sharing. When 'Dog The Bounty Hunter': The Chapmans Lend Their Support To The NOH8 Campaign video is posted on NOH8, ITP will EDIT this journal entry to acconadate.

FROM THE HUFFINGTON POST:
The bounty-hunting Chapman family may, at first glance, seem unlikely advocates for gay marriage, but on "Dog The Bounty Hunter" (Wed., 10 p.m. EST on A&E) they threw their weight behind the NOH8 Campaign.

To help get across the NOH8 misson of promoting marriage, gender and human equality, the Chapmans participated in a photo shoot for the organization. They wrote "NOH8" on their faces and then duct-taped their mouths shut.

Duane Lee said watching his step-mother Beth get her mouth duct-taped was the best part of the day. "I think I hear birds," he joked. "I never heard them, before."

So why did the Chapmans join the NOH8 Campaign? "It's about peace and love and togetherness," said Dog. "So while politicians are doing their thing, we're gonna do our thing."

"Dog The Bounty Hunter" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on A&E.

FROM NOH8:
MISSION STATEMENT: The NOH8 Campaign is a charitable organization whose mission is to promote marriage, gender and human equality through education, advocacy, social media, and visual protest.

On November 4, 2008 Proposition 8 passed in California, amending the state Constitution to ban same-sex marriage. The defeat provoked a groundswell of initiative within the GLBT community at a grassroots level, with many new political and protest organizations being formed in response.

The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska (http://www.bouska.net) and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8. Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with "NOH8" painted on one cheek in protest.

Three years since its inception, the NOH8 Campaign has grown to over 20,000 faces and continues to grow at an exponential rate. The campaign began with portraits of everyday Californians from all walks of life and soon rose to include politicians, military personnel, newlyweds, law enforcement, artists, celebrities, and many more.

The NOH8 Campaign has received overwhelming support from around the world, and has appeared in various local and national news programs and publications. The images are widely used on various social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to spread the message of equality. Eventually the images will be compiled for a large-scale media campaign.

The NOH8 Campaign is a charitable organization registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation. Funds raised by the NOH8 Campaign are used to promote and raise awareness for Marriage Equality and anti-discrimination on a global level through an educational and interactive media campaign.
