SANTA MARIA, BRAZIL (KISS) NIGHTCLUB FIRE: NIGHTCLUB OWNER Elissandro Spohr, and TWO MEMBERS OF Gurizada Fandangueira DETAINED BY POLICE

Various media sources (LATINO FOX NEWS) have reported KISS nightclub owner Elissandro Spohr and two members of Gurizada Fandangueira have been detained regarding the 1/27/2013 Santa Maria, Brazilian nightclub fire. The nightclub fire broke out at club KISS after Latin band Gurizada Fandangueira lit a pyrotechnic device as the clubs ceiling caught on fire. With only one unlocked exit, no fire alarm, no sprinklers, blinding smoke and a panicked crowd on a stampede out, over 230 people died of smoke inhalation and other injuries at the KISS nightclub.

Chief Brazilian inspector Ranolfo Vieira Junior stated in a press conference that the detentions were for investigative purposes only.
