FROM SUMMER BREZE OPEN AIR 2013 PROMOTERS:
One of the most uncompromising German thrash metal bands will set up camp at SUMMER BREEZE 2013. None other than thrash pioneers DESTRUCTION have confirmed their appearance! And not only do they have tons of classics under their (bullet) belts, but also the tracks from their brand-new, rock-solid album 'Spiritual Genocide'. And who knows, maybe even the Butcher will find his way to Dinkelsbühl? Anyway, for those who love classic German thrash with loads of aggression and power, there's no way around the DESTRUCTION gig at SUMMER BREEZE. Thrash til death as the butcher strikes back in Dinkelsbühl!

After they unfortunately had to cancel last year, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE are now making up for it at SUMMER BREEZE 2013. All those looking for the meanest of extreme metal paired with bombastic classical elements and a high level of complexity should not miss the Italians at the Nuclear Blast label night. The new rising star on the Donzdorf label's roster skillfully combines the aforementioned influences, giving their brand of death metal an almost symphonic character, at least on the material from their current album 'Agony'. Greece's Septic Flesh can be named as a rough reference, but with an added bonus of aggression and extremity in order to reach the level of FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE. One of the most interesting newcomers of recent years.

OK, so WITCHCRAFT may not be the most original name for a rock band, but since their 2007 album 'The Alchemist' the Swedes have definitely risen above their peers in terms of popularity. With their formidable new album 'Legend' the 70s hard rock worshippers have firmly cemented their status in the scene, so we almost felt it was our duty to book them for the Nuclear Blast Label Night. Those among you wearing bell-bottoms and beards will undoubtedly be happy, but everyone else should also give WITCHCRAFT's gripping songs and outstanding live qualities a chance.

Sure, VADER have played SUMMER BREEZE more than a few times, but who cares?! For decades the Poles have been a guarantee for best straight-ahead death metal entertainment and A.L.W.A.Y.S. give their all. Once again, Peter and his stromtroopers will hit hard and destroy the tent stage as part of the Nuclear Blast Label Night. So, even though they're actually nice guys, we can't resent them for being unmerciful, as this just belongs to death metal. Those who like it raw, bloody and unadulterated should not miss VADER!
