FUNERUS: JILL SUFFERS HEART ATTACK

JILL MCENTEE, bassist/vocalist of Pennsylvania USA death metal warriors FUNERUS suffered a heart attack earlier this month, and went through surgery regarding blocked arteries. JILL and her partner have no health insurance as a benefit is  set to be organized for October.

Considering JILL's health and recovery, FUNERUS's appearance at the 2013 INDIANAPOLIS METAL FEST is cancelled.

FROM INDIANAPOLIS METAL FEST 2013:
 We have received word from Funerus that they will not be able to make the festival due to Jill's recent heart attack. She is recovering well from what we understand, and has actually attempted to rehearse with every intent to attend the festival. Unfortunately she's still feeling weak and had a difficult time getting through an entire set. According to her spokesperson, Jill feels terrible that she cannot make it. The same spokesperson confirmed that INCANTATION AND ACHERON will perform at the festival despite the cancelation of Funerus. 

While Jill is expected to make a full recovery, she does not have health insurance, and her hospital bills are expected to be quite high. Donations are being accepted online, or you can drop by INCANTATION and ACHERON'S booth at the festival and make a donation at the festival in person. Anything you can give to help a fellow Metalhead would certainly be appreciated.

FROM FRIENDS OF JILL FUNERUS : 

First, a quick update on Jill Funerus and her health challenges. She had 100% blockage in one artery and less in another, but the damage was still extensive enough to cause a heart attack and kidney problems.

She went into surgery about 22 hours ago. However, she does not have health insurance and neither does her husband. Thus, she’s going to face some heft medical bills when this is all over.

To counter those bills, the Glorious Times team have partnered with death metal bands across the world to throw a fundraiser. Bands will donate items for a raffle, and perform, with the proceeds going to Jill for payment of her medical bills.
