ITP V.014 UPDATE: STILL SORTING THROUGH APRIL FOOLS JOKES, LOL



I figured, 4/1 is a day that even the most seasoned Journalists would have to look out for false press releases and bands statements. So I just kicked back, relaxed, and laughed, for what can you do? Perhaps 50% or more of the "press releases" and "band statements" yesterday were false, including the most recent journal entry courtesy of HOUSECORE RECORDS, their words, not mine.

Remember when BLABBERMOUTH.NET. would go balls out early last decade on 4/1, the site was all "untroo" that date, same thing with SMNNEWS.COM., those were the days. This year, METAL UNDERGROUND went balls out with a fury of metal falseness. (Very good metal zine).

Hey we all know, PR is "Legalized lying" anyway.
 My APRIL FOOLS was the "not a fuck was given day", I didn't do nothing, what ever the commitment was.
However, it WAS funny reading PR/MARKETING PRESS RELEASES stating "This is NOT an APRIL FOOLS", as they struggled to be "taken seriously" 4/1/2014.

"IRONIC HIPSTERS": Even local music venues aren't "original" with APRIL FOOLS. This APRIL FOOLS joke stemmed from a frustrated local unsigned act (DEAD EMPIRES, as we all know nothing good comes from New Paltz, NY) whom LAST YEAR,  ALMOST fooled ITP author's (I almost posted it!) as thy impersonated GODSMACK in promotion of a gig at BSP, not a good idea,as they are insecure about draw. As we threatened to scream GODSMACK through DEAD EMPIRES set if they had the balls to act like mall core posers and play up here. DEAD EMPIRES was a no show and cancelled, typical hipster pussies.
NOT a GODSMACK fan, but really, the joke is on BSP, DEAD EMPIRES and hipsters, whom REALLY think GODSMACK and THEY are metal, no they're not, and neither are the hipsters.
