EXODUS: SEND STATEMENT ON 1/22/2016 FORTALEZA, BRAZIL CANCELLED SHOW

EXODUS has sent this statement regarding the bands 1/22/2016 show as a  riot broke out after the band cancelled out of the bands FORTALEZA, BRAZIL SHOW @ SEA DRAGON.
U.S.A. thrash metal legends

Fans started rioting after EXODUS were announced as cancelled as the stage was trashed, the venues bar was looted and the promoter did not have enough money to pay the band.







EXODUS unleashed "BLOOD IN, BLOOD OUT", 10/10/2014 (EUROPEAN UNION), 10/13/2014 (UK) and 10/14/2014 (NORTH AMERICA) via NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS.

Ok. Fucking fine! I usually don't like to get into the mud with pigs but this must be clarified. Regarding the disaster in Fortaleza ....
First of all, the local promoter NEVER would count out the last payment to us. We asked him many times.
Second the guy pulled our hotel rooms and blocked us from them. The hotel enforced that for him. The bill was part of our contract as were the meals. When we decided to not play he cancelled the rooms and we had to pay for the meals.
Fucked us twice.
Krisiun also cut short their set.
The rain ruined the stage long before we were even scheduled to play
There were only 3 security people for the whole 'festival' one was taking tickets and the other one was working the back door.
There were no credentials and our sound guy couldn't get back in from the sound booth at soundcheck!!
The whole thing was a disaster.
I understand the promoter lying now. Human ears are used as currency down here!
But.... We played all the other shows fine. Even the São Paulo show with ZERO problems.
We have been playing down here for 20 years now. We know when we are being lied to.
We want to tell all the fans in Fortaleza we love them. They have treated us very well in the past and we hope in the future. We will do something very special for you guys next time.
We extend our most sincere apology to our fans in Fortaleza.
We also want to apologize to the band volcano whose guitars were stolen from the stage. (Again due to lack of security) we would like to help them get their gear back or replaced...
This is now over! We have a lot more shows to play and this is behind us. ALL OF YOU SHOULD GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!
