ITP V.019 ONLY ONE PER COFFIN: R.I.P. HARTMUTH "BLACKGOAT" SCHINDLER (OWNER BARBARIAN WRATH RECORDS)

HARTMUTH "BLACKGOAT" SCHINDLER, owner and manager of defunct extreme metal record label distro BARBARIAN WRATH records passed away 9/5/2019 in Germany from brain damage.

BARBARIAN WRATH RECORDS closed MARCH of 2018.
HARTMUTH "BLACKGOAT" SCHINDLER (AKA OPYROS)  also ran and owned NAZGUL'S EYRIE PRODUCTIONS.

ITP V.019 EDITORS NOTE:  BARBARIAN WRATH RECORDS was a gateway into the underground for me as the GOOGLE + group was alot of fun. R.I.P. "BLACKGOAT".

 FROM BARBARIAN WRATH:
 Rest in peace Hartmuth "Blackgoat" Schindler. 16 July 1967 - 05 September 2019. 😥

FROM SHAXUL MANZER:
A truly great Metal warrior has passed away today. Rest in peace, my friend.
Deepest condolences to Cheryl Van Laaber who stood strong by his side until the end.
All hails NAZGUL'S EYRIE, BARBARIAN WRATH and WITCHES BREW, these labels marked the Metal scene forever.
BARBARIAN WRATH
·
Written yesterday on my personal page, tried to share but FB is a bitch: "With Hart now, listening to Manilla Road. This'll be the last metal he hears in his current existence. Brought in stuff for his final day before our impending trip to Portugal. His favorite Manilla Road shirt, patch vest, cuban cigar, hip flask with Rum, jeans and of course his sunglasses. Soon he departs to endless peace and happiness, freed from the bodily prison."

FROM VOIDHANGER:
Nazgul’s Eyrie Productions/Barbarian Wrath will forever be a symbol of ugly, untrendy metal from the old times. Thanks for releasing all those killer albums of Barathrum, Countess, Mortuary Drape, Morrigan and many others.

FROM WITCHES BREW:
Rest in peace Hartmuth "Blackgoat" Schindler. 16 July 1967 - 05 September 2019. 😥

FROM ARES KINGDOM:
Ares Kingdom extends our heartfelt sympathies to Cheryl and the entire Schindler family on the passing of Hartmuth. Hart was a supporter of AK and Vulpecula from the start, as well as of Order From Chaos from nearly its beginning. Hart's devotion to real metal was as legendary as it was unwavering. He will never be forgotten. Let us now look back to happier times. - Chuck

FROM REAPER METAL PRODUCTIONS:
I am sad to hear of the passing of Hart from Barbarian Wrath, he had a long battle these past few years from what I understand but it is still a shame to see his passing even if it means the start of peace.
I didn't know Hart well but definitely corresponded with him when I essentially started Reaper Metal with the self released Crucified Mortals Converted By Decapitation CD in 2003, I can recall some of his releases I traded back then and the discovery it was for me of those bands that I still enjoy to this day.
May there be a hell of a record collection and cold beer where ever you may be!

FROM COUNTESS:

RIP Hartmuth Schindler 1967 - 2019
We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend, known in the scene as Opyros and, later, as Black Goat.
He was one of our staunchest supporters since 1993 and his efforts on behalf of our band are hard to underestimate. Of course he released many of our albums through his legendary labels, but he also arranged a lot of shows for us in the nineties, including the epic tour with Sabbat and Barathrum in 1997.
More important, though, is that he was a loyal friend first and foresmost, and one could not hope to meet a more genuine metalhead.
We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife, family and friends worldwide.
He will not be forgotten.

FROM UNSPEAKABLE AXE RECORDS:
Rest in peace to the owner of Barbarian Wrath. A label that truly went its own way and never seemed too interested in trends or chasing the money, and bless 'em for it. Some of the titles they released made impact tremors in the genre without seeming like they were even really trying to.

Thanks-Stay Metal, Stay Brutal-R.I.P. \m/ -l-
