German atmospheric, post death, doom metal warriors EIRD have been turning heads with the bands second full length release  "A VOIDCHASER'S ELEGY". 

EIRD'S  "A VOIDCHASER'S ELEGY".  is a flawless, psychedelic trip of death, doom with clean and death vocals. 

EIRD'S "A VOIDCHASER'S ELEGY"  kicks off with  "INTO DISTANT SPHERES (WE FLOAT)", plunges in with doom song structure and amazing clean vocals courtesy of .Kristien Cools At 4:57, "INTO DISTANT SPHERES (WE FLOAT)", changes riffs and add death metal vocals for a monster death, clean vocal duet. 

."INTO DISTANT SPHERES (WE FLOAT)" continues on with down tuned riffs as at 12:20, the track speeds up with all the thrash gallop the band can muster.. "INTO DISTANT SPHERES (WE FLOAT)" ends in spoken word ambience. . 

EIRD'S "THE UNIVERSAL SPIRIT (LUNA IN HER GRACE)" enters with a classic metal riff  as vocalist Kristien Cools offers her operatic styled vocals to the track. Clean (male) vocals are segued into "THE UNIVERSAL SPIRIT (LUNA IN HER GRACE)" as the riffs take on a doomed version of Djent. I love EIRD'S variation in male and female clean vocals. At 10:37,  . "THE UNIVERSAL SPIRIT (LUNA IN HER GRACE)" segues into a soft, ambient, interlude complete with clean operatic vocals and softly spoken word. Slowly,  "THE UNIVERSAL SPIRIT (LUNA IN HER GRACE)" speeds up with double bass drumming, heavier riffing and a nice duet of clean male and female vocals. 

At 19:57 into "THE UNIVERSAL SPIRIT (LUNA IN HER GRACE)", death vocals can be heard in one last duet with clean female vocals as the track ends in ambient noise. . 

 EIRD'S  "THE VOIDCHASER" enters with softly strummed guitars, mesmerizing within itself. A few minutes clean female vocals enter in with the full band in a funeral doom crawl. At 9:20  "THE VOIDCHASER" speeds up a bit, with male death metal yells and clean voclas as song changes riffs. 

At 12:28 "THE VOIDCHASER" segues into an atmospheric guitar solo..and slows down into a whispered spoken word funeral doom.  "THE VOIDCHASER"  closes with the opening of light guitar strumming into ambience. 

EIRD'S "A VOIDCHASER'S ELEGY" closes with "CALM", an ambient,instrumental, piano piece. 

EIRD'S "A VOIDCHASER'S ELEGY" is a meditative, memorizing work of art. Meant to be listened to as a whole, EIRD'S "A VOIDCHASER'S ELEGY" takes the listener on a dramatic journey of darkness and light within all of the peaks and valleys of life. 

EIRD'S female and male clean vocals are magnificent, the riffs and diverse pacing awe inspiring. . .EIRD, a duo with ANDREAS LIBERA on all instruments shows off excellent musicianship and good variety. 

If you're in the mood to get lost on a long journey, you may have found a gem in EIRD.      . .
