MALIST (RUSSIA), MONTANKA (UKRAINE) and WHITE WARD (UKRAINE): SPEAK OUT AGAINST RUSSIAN INVASIAN OF UKRAINE

Russian black metal warriors MALIST and Ukrainian post black metal warriors WHITE WARD and MONTANKA have spoken out against the looming Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has ordered troops into "separatist" area of East Ukraine in an ongoing conflict dating back to 2014 (and before). Russia fears Ukraine joining NATO and obtaining nuclear weapons.

I just want to make one thing clear.

Malist will never be about politics. But on the global metal scene, Malist still represents Russia. I, Ovfrost, was born here, and I live here.

The country has once again fallen into international disgrace because of the ambitions of one small man in power. Please remember that the people of this country are not their government. I, and most of the people I know, do not support the Ukraine intervention. I want to distance myself and Malist as far away as possible from the actions of the Russian authorities, since they have nothing to do with the essence and the spirit of this country.

This will be the last political statement on this page.

Ukraine, our homeland, was in state of war since the annexation of Crimea in 2014.

Yesterday Russia has declared that Donbas is not part of Ukraine, and officialy started invasion in the East.

As citizens of our country - we cannot stand aside. It's not about politics. Russia is bringing war towards our homes.

The very least we can do - is spread the word about Russian aggression, and we ask you to do the same.

Crimea is Ukraine, Donetsk is Ukraine, Luhansk is Ukraine.

FROM MONTANKA:

We have such a beautiful and picturesque country, with mountains, seas, fields... But for 8 years the integrity of Ukraine has been affected by an unhealthy neighbor - Russia.

However, it is important for now to keep calm and hold on to the pile! Everything will be Ukraine!

The least you can do now is to support the Ukrainian army.
