From the opening chords to the fading echoes, "Trolldom" guides listeners through an esoteric exploration of the unknown. Each track contributes to an intense experience inspired by dark mythology, complemented by the album's stunning artwork crafted by the multi-talented Ksenia Hinderson. The intricate designs draw from the depths of ancient folklore.

𝕽𝖔𝖔𝖙𝖊𝖉 𝖎𝖓 𝕿𝖗𝖆𝖉𝖎𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓, 𝕱𝖔𝖗𝖌𝖊𝖉 𝖎𝖓 𝕿𝖎𝖒𝖊

Inspired by 70’s progressive rock, 80’s horror films, and the mid-90’s Black Metal, 𝔗𝔯𝔬𝔩𝔩's founding member, who was instrumental in shaping the best-selling genre of Black Metal, return to his roots on "Trolldom." Recorded at Evil Octopus Studio over the last decade, the album features the return of Nagash behind the drum kit, delivering an infernal frenzy. Guitarist Tlaloc showcases high-speed, intensive shredding and evocative leads, with bassist Sturt providing an entrancing backdrop to the relentless guitars and unnerving synth leads.

The word Trolldom does not have a perfect translation in English, you may say magic or witchcraft. The related word trolsk is maybe the word that most aptly describes the atmosphere in Trolls music. It is a word we use in Norwegian to describe dark bewitching moods you find in nature, in the twilight, before a thunderstorm or when the mist lays wispy and seeming to dance over a body of water. Times when you see shadows creep in the corner of your eye.

Lyrically, "Trolldom" implores listeners to confront the great dark truths of our universe, contemplating the ultimate destruction and impending death of all life as we know it.
