Fortress Festival unveils it's live Fortress Forum, a unique opportunity for festival attendees to hear artists talk about their careers and experiences. Taking place inside the 300-capacity theatre room at Scarborough Spa and available only for Fortress Festival ticket holders.

This year’s programme boasts a true legend of the scene as Celtic Frost and Triptykon mastermind Tom G Warrior participates in an exclusive keynote interview conducted by Dayal Patterson, the renowned author, journalist and founder of publishing house, Cult Never Dies.

Delving into the rich tapestry of black metal, a panel discussion featuring Dayal Patterson, Jackie Smit, and The Watcher of Fellwarden and Fen promises a fascinating exploration. The session will see Patterson discuss his latest book, "Black Metal: Evolution of the Cult - The Restored, Expanded & Definitive Edition", with The Watcher offering insights on his role as editor and the discussion culminating in a wider exploration of the UK black metal scene's development.
𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞
Jackie Smit will also be wielding the microphone for a series of exclusive interviews with some of the festival's most captivating acts. Ralph Schmidt from German black metallers Ultha, the black metal force Der Weg Einer Freiheit, and Portuguese black metallers Gaerea will all be facing Smit's questions, offering festival-goers a deeper look into their creative processes and musical visions.
The programme will culminate with an exclusive live Into The Necrosphere podcast episode with Cedar Serpent of Wolves In The Throne Room, Sunday’s Fortress Festival headliners. Diving into the mind of the band’s co-founder, this interview will be filmed and aired online for everyone to enjoy.
