ROCKTIVAL OPEN AIR (TURKEY) 10/10/09 CANCELED BY PROMOTER

According to German thrash legends DESTRUCTION, ROCKTIVAL OPEN AIR FEST (TURKEY) 10/10/09 is canceled by the promoter. FROM BWBK.COM: German thrashers DESTRUCTION have issued the following statement about Turkey's Ankara Festival being canceled by the promoter:

"This is a sad story. The second festival in Turkey got canceled by the promoter. First Instanbul and now the Rocktival in Ankara. The band is really disappointed, hopefully 2010 will be a better year for Turkish thrash maniacs.

Promoter Arman Tekin from Rocktival sent Destruction the following note: "The festival was cancelled because of financial and other secret problems. We wanted to (correct) this situation and we can arrange a Turkey tour (sometime) in 2010."

Destruction are streaming the track 'Curse The Gods', from their new double live album, entitled The Curse Of The Antichrist - Live In Agony, at this location.

The North American release date for the new album is October 13th.
