Formed in Poland in 1996 by guitarist Wacław "Vogg" Kiełtyka and younger brother/drummer Witold 'Vitek' Kiełtyka, DECAPITATED’s fledgling band members were barely in their early teens. Despite their young age and after two self-released demos, their contributions to the genre of technical death metal would quickly be revealed.
