MINDY MCREADY was featured on VH1's celebrity rehab (2010-DR. DREW) recovering from drug and spousal abuse, mental health issues and epilepsy.
MCREADY burst on to the country and western scene with her 1986 hit "10, 000 Angels". MCREADY (and DAVID WILSON) leave behind two boys, both 6 years and 10 months old, both whom have been in foster care. MCREADY apparently shot her dog as well.
ITP V.013 EDITORS NOTE: I understand that ITP V.013 is an extreme metal blog, and I'm not big on C and W (with exemption of NU COUNTRY artists RESTLESS HEART, TIM MCGRAW and straight up bluegrass and classic JOHNNY CASH). I caught a few episodes of VH1 CELEBRITY REHAB featuring MINDY MCREADY, as her suicide is a shocker, saddened to hear of all this, RI.P. MINDY.
VH1's CELEBRITY REHAB and SOBER HOUSE (hosted by DR. DREW) have had 5 deaths of clients (RODNEY KING, MIKE STARR (ALICE IN CHAINS), JEFF CONAWAY, JOEY KOVAR, and now MINDY MCREADY).
VH1's CELEBRITY REHAB and SOBER HOUSE has been criticized for exploiting substance abusers for financial gain as the celebrities sacrifice privacy on reality TV for rehab vs. lack of socialized health care.
FROM WYONNA JUDD:
"Addiction is a disEASE &; not a character flaw. When the pain becomes too much, it causes people to want that pain to stop. This is just so unbelievable &; so sad."
