GORGUTS: CANCEL OUT OF Reykjavik festival, GATEWAY ROCK festival, BRUTAL ASSAULT festival, INTO THE GRAVE festival and LEPER FEST

Canadian technical death metal warriors GORGUTS have announced the bands summer 2014 EUROPEAN festival run is CANCELLED , including Reykjavik festival, GATEWAY ROCK festival, BRUTAL ASSAULT festival, INTO THE GRAVE festival and LEPER FEST.

GORGUTS unleashed "COLORED SANDS" 8/30/2013 (EUROPE) and 9/3/2013 (NORTH AMERICA) via SEASON OF MIST.

I’m writing today to explain why GORGUTS won’t be performing at the:

Reykjavik festival, GATEWAY ROCK festival, BRUTAL ASSAULT festival, INTO THE GRAVE festival and LEPER FEST.

We find out, during our last tour in June, that many club dates for our August run were not going to happen due to the festival season.

It’s no secret that the summer Metal festival season makes the club shows market extremely difficult to book. In the beginning, we were supposed to perform form August 6th to August 17th in about 4 to 5 festivals total and play club shows on all the remaining dates.

After looking carefully at the numbers and trying any scenario possible to make it happen, I decided not to do the short festival run since it was unrealistic financially.

I sincerely apologise to all our fans and to each festival promoter and their team for their hard work and hopefully we can work together in a near future.
