Last night, TOM PETTY of legendary U.S.A. rock legends TOM PETTY and THE HEART BREAKERS was found unconscious and unresponsive in his MALIBU, CALIFORNIA home and was taken to a Santa Monica hospital in cardiac arrest, as he was on life support and died after 8PM PST at 66.

The last 48 hours have been so overwhelming, Las Vegas massacre and now TOM PETTY? TOM PETTY, you were a great American songwriter, condolences to his friends, family and band mates.

On behalf of the Tom Petty family, we are devastated to announce the untimely death of of our father, husband, brother, leader and friend Tom Petty.
He suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu in the early hours of this morning and was taken to UCLA Medical Center but could not be revived.
He died peacefully at 8:40PM PST surrounded by family, his bandmates, and friends.
