 Pagan black metal warriors HAVUKRUUNU have been making waves in metal abundant Finland. 

 HAVUKRUUNU'S distinct black metal sound pay homage to the traditional 90's wave of the genre within the bands distinct sonic scape of dark coldness and homage to their homeland. 

 Here ITP V.021 has HAVUKRUUNU'S latest EP  "KUU ERKYLAN YLLA". 

 HAVUKRUUNU'S  "KUU ERKYLAN YLLA" kicks off with the title track as it will spin heads with melodic rhythm riffing, chants, screams and misanthropic madness. At 2:41,  "KUU ERKYLAN YLLA",  paints a diverse collage of clean vocals with light synths and cool solos, Good songwriting.  . 

HAVUKRUUNU'S "YON TORNI" is an anthem of darkness blasting in full speed with fast melodic, grim riffing and convincing screams ala "STEFAN". At 2:18, "YON TORNI" employs clean chaoral vocals, a nice touch and change of pace, sung with conviction. Melodic folk melodies coupled with mesmerizing guitar solos adorn  "YON TORNI" as the track slowly fades into the Finnish darkness. 

HAVUKRUUNU'S "ROUTAPANSSARI" grabs you by the throat and strangles the listener with definitive riffing, melodic tones, good drumming and fast rippling pace. At 3:51 into "ROUTAPANSSARI", HAVUKRUUNU bring back the clean vocals with all the "ahhhs" in as chorus fit for a battlefield. At 5:06, .HAVUKRUUNU segue "ROUTAPANSSARI"into a a definitive black and roll riff ending the track.

HAVUKRUUNU'S "MUSTAN MERKIN ENTEEN ALLA" enters fast and furious with chanted spoken word vocals and traditional black metal screams."MUSTAN MERKIN ENTEEN ALLA", dar in atmosphere, punky in execution. At 1:43, "MUSTAN MERKIN ENTEEN ALLA" executed a vicious thrash break down. At 2:02, "MUSTAN MERKIN ENTEEN ALLA" segues into an epic chorus and a slower mid pace with definitive, doom riffing.  "MUSTAN MERKIN ENTEEN ALLA" continues with epic breakdowns, back to the mid pace with gorgeous solos with an ambient closing.  . 

 HAVUKRUUNU'S  "KUU ERKYLAN YLLA" closes with "TALVIKUU" entering with definitive melodic, alternating riffs and an epic atmosphere... At 2:32, "TALVIKUU" takes a turn into melodic folk riffing as they fit perfectly into an epic track. At 5: 25, "TALVIKUU" evokes an epic atmosphere with clean back up vocals, and like the midnight sun, an acoustic riff is performed with the chants of their forebears. . 

. HAVUKRUUNU'S  "KUU ERKYLAN YLLA" is a magical journey to the land of over a thousand lakes as the voices of grim landscapes cultivated by Pagans of the past can be heard through out this sonic masterpiece. 

HAVUKRUUNU'S  "KUU ERKYLAN YLLA" is a gripping release of melodic black metal anthems as you can hear the cold wind whipping through thier Finnish homeland. 

.HAVUKRUUNU'S  "KUU ERKYLAN YLLA" features a variety of different textures, from melodic black metal, blackened thrash, black and roll and folk hymns, as the release is diverse enough to catch anyone's ear. 

 HAVUKRUUNU'S  "KUU ERKYLAN YLLA" features excellent songwriting as I think (I'm not sure) the release is sung in their native tounge. 

Epic in feel, mature in execution, .HAVUKRUUNU' are black metals most insightful warriors.
