ITP V.014 UPDATE: BBL WITH MORE EXTREME METAL NEWS

ITP V.014 UPDATE:  ITP is working on REVIEWS and METAL NEWS FEATURES, as the later will be posted (MAYBE)  in  JULY 2014, so hold your horses metal warriors.
I am really exhausted, pissed off and over tired, and not feeling well. ITP V.014 will be back later TOMORROW.
MARYLAND DEATHFEST 2015 ANNOUNCEMENT TOMORROW: However, ITP V.014 will NOT be available until late afternoon early evening tomorrow,  I have some personal things to deal with, quality of life issues of where I live.

Whomever the psychotic wingnut yelling close to where I live, we can't sleep, and we're calling the police.

THOUGHT THIS WAS FUNNY: The HUDSON PROJECT MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL 7/11-13, 2014, SAUGERTIES, NY WINSTON FARM EDM FESTIVAL SUNDAY 7/13/2014 date was CANCELLED due to (lmao, get this) RAIN.

Ugh, this EDM promoter has a 5 year contract with WINSTON FARM, give the kids REFUNDS for 7/13/2014,
Can we get some brutal metal up in WINSTON FARM, instead this EDM/hippie crap?

As mother nature wreaked havok, festival goers were evacuated from campsites as cars were stuck in mud,and the RED CROSS has stepped up for festival refugees.

ITP V.014 EDITORS NOTE: Although a few minutes from me, NO, I have no interest in this FEST (nor mainstream EDM) and did NOT attend, although I figured this, as "mother nature" has a great sense of humor.
It is now common place, regarding out door music festivals to post pone or cancel in inclement weather, as the worst case scenario, the stage could collapse, and it HAS happened a few years ago (Indiana State Fair, Pukkelpop, ect.).

HAY is more than just for horses, it soaks up mud too, use it, awful groundskeeping.

On the other side of the fence, rain feels great in 80 plus humidity weather, and if you're not muddy, you're just a noob, get dirty. I specifically remember attending WOODSTOCK '94 (same site, WINSTON FARM, Saugerties, NY), and it was HOT, and during Henry Rollins set, the rains began to fall, and it felt great and stage was squeegeed.
However, the rains made for some sloppy moshing at WOODSTOCK '94, during AEROSMITH  and METALLICA's set, I remember standing all the way in the back of field, and we were SOAKED, and I was yelling for METALLICA to blast out the thrash as I was getting bored and wet.
I've always stated this, I'm very thankful that every technical aspect of WOODSTOCK '94 was stable, including the stage, although moshing was almost impossible, ankle deep in the mud.
Yes, I saw the storm coming yesterday, it was going Northbound and came out of nowhere, it was an MONSOON of rain, and there have been a few tornadoes in central New York during the last few weeks.
However, many metal and music festivals I've attended have been a soaking wet affair,it was kinda funny, and you EDM kids/promoters are pussies, lol, METAL RULES.
Mud is fun, throw it, paint your face with it.

FROM KINGSTON TIMES:
Check out Saugerties Times' coverage of the morass the Hudson Project has become ...

FROM HUDSON MUSIC PROJECT:
We are working tirelessly to get all the vehicles out. Due to the amount of rain that happened yesterday in such a short timeframe, the ground has deteriorated and we must work slowly to get everyone out safely. Please note that water is available in all of the campgrounds and our teams are making the rounds to distribute food as well. We apologize for this, but please be patient.

Based on the recommendation from Ulster County and information from the National Weather Service concerning approaching storms in conjunction with the previous afternoon inclement weather, we have decided to cancel this evening's performances.

This is a decision that we don't take lightly, but our first priority is always the safety of our patrons, artists, and staff. We regret having to cancel any show, but safety always comes first.

Please return to your camp sites to pack up and depart the property as quickly as possible. You do not need to leave if you are not sober, we are not asking anyone to drive drunk. If you are unable to leave the venue for any reason, please stay in your vehicles until the storm passes or you can depart safely. Those who are not in the condition to drive may stay the night to sober up. We do not recommend driving if you are under the influence at all. Thanks for your cooperation.

Thank you all for an unforgettable weekend, we can't wait to do it all again next year. Stay tuned for more information in the coming days.

The rain has stopped for now, you're welcome to go back to your campsite if you'd like to either secure your belongings or stay there for the night (if it is safe and dry).

We will be keeping the main medical location at our south entrance open throughout the evening, it is heated and we encourage anyone who gets cold to come visit. Remember this is a judgement-free zone, so please stop by if needed.

We also ask that anyone on-site or traveling get in touch with their friends and family to let them know they’re safe. We will continue to work through the night to pull out all cars that are stuck in the mud and allow everyone to exit the festival grounds as quickly as possible.

7/14/2014: THE HUDSON PROJECT 2014 FESTIVAL REFUNDS:
As you all know, The Hudson Project was a rain or shine event, but what we experienced on Sunday night was a lot more dangerous than just a little rain. Severe Weather - especially heavy rain, lightning, strong winds, flood warnings and potential tornados in the area - and recommendation from the Ulster County Emergency Services and Health Department caused us to cancel the remainder of the event. For this reason, we will be offering a full refund of the face value for Sunday's performances to all ticket buyers. This means: all 3-Day buyers will receive a 33% refund, all 2-Day buyers will receive a 50% refund, and Sunday-Only ticket buyers will receive a full refund.

We know this doesn't fix the inconveniences caused by weather but we hope this helps. It was a very unfortunate ending to an amazing event. Stay tuned tomorrow for more info.

Thanks-Stay Metal, Stay Brutal-\m/ -l-
