ITP: UNCOVERED PART 4: PANTERA: COWBOYS FROM HELL and THIS LOVE

Ok, ITP is back with our newest feature UNCOVERED, this time with Texas, USA thrashers PANTERA. PANTERA have to be one of the covered bands in metal, if you scan YOU TUBE, you'll find some brilliant covers of PANTERA tunes.
Here on ITP UNCOVERED we have three PANTERA covers. One from some awesome young teens from the Aaron O'Keefe MUSIC SCHOOL (OHIO) covering the tittle track of the PANTERA release "Cowboys From Hell', another from a vocal shredder Pinner420420 (YOU TUBE) singing PANTERA's "This Love". The third PANTERA cover is PROGRESSIVE STRING QUARTET covering PANTERA's "Cowboys from Hell".
It's always great and heartening when kids start playing music young, it's a great hobby, and these kids are shredding at the age of 12 and 13. BTW, the late DARRELL ABBOTT (DIMEBAG-PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN) started shredding at a very young age, winning guitar contests and winning so often over people twice his age, that he asked him not to compete anymore, and he judged the contests instead. Of course PANTERA were formed when the band were just teens.
I'm sure DIMEBAG DARRELL would be proud of these covers.

FROM BLABBERMOUTH. NET:
Several students from the Aaron O'Keefe music-instruction school in Ohio recorded a cover version of the PANTERA classic "Cowboys From Hell" on Saturday, February 20 at the Saint Claire Recording Company in Lexington, Kentucky. You can hear the track as well as watch the accompanying studio footage below.

Commented O'Keefe: "The students did 10 takes of the song in one hour; this is take number 5.

"In order to get multiple camera angles, I had the students record the song using a click track at 112 bpm. Not only did using the click track help create a better video, but many professional recordings are laid down to a click track. In using this technique to record, the students now realize what is expected from a professional musician in a studio.

"Many viewers might wonder why the students aren't jumping around and delivering a great visual performance as well. Playing along with the click track requires a great deal of concentration, so that wouldn't possible for many musicians, especially a bunch of kids.

"What we changed... Dimebag Darrell's solo in 'Cowboys From Hell' is incredible; however, Joe Hubbell has already played several PANTERA solos note for note and needed to move in a different direction. So he used some of Dimebag Darrell's solo and added some of his own ideas. We also left out the music from 3:16 until the end of 'Cowboys From Hell' and then created a free time ending section. The arrangement was shortened and simplified to make it easier for the students to memorize (since they rarely get to practice as a band) and to save time in the studio."
