DREAMING DEAD: California Death Metallers Prepare To Unleash New Full-Length

California death metal warriors DREAMING DEAD are preparing to unleash a new offering on IBEX MOON records.

California melodic death metal legion, DREAMING DEAD, are currently putting the finishing touches on their upcoming new full-length. The follow-up to the band’s Within One full-length released via Ibex Moon in 2009 is set for release later this Fall. Further details to be unveiled shortly. Fronted and founded by Elizabeth Schall, DREAMING DEAD released their first recording, Through The Eyes Of Insanity, in 2006 under previous band moniker Manslaughter. Influenced by the likes of Death, Slayer, Cryptopsy and Opeth, reviews for the release were stellar, leaving listeners aching for more of the band’s blackened, death-thrash attack. “Impressive,” “devastating,” “technically precise” and “great debut” are not terms to be thrown around lightly. Within One was met with similar accolades. About.com called the record, “sometimes extreme, sometimes delicate and usually compelling,” while Blabbermouth noted: “DREAMING DEAD are on; it’s easy to see world domination in their future.” Metal Maniacs agreed calling Within One, “…a smattering of classic US DM stylings and high-velocity thrash, set the tune of Schall’s scathing vocals and surprisingly and agile guitar runs.”

In celebration of their upcoming release, DREAMING DEAD will be playing two special shows this fall: One opening for Morbid Angel in West Hollywood later this month and another at the Goregrowler’s Ball in San Antonio alongside Deceased, HOD, Lair Of The Minotaur and many others.
