STARDUST NYC is proud and honored to present not only one of its most important events yet, but literally a dream come true: The first ever NYC performance of what is considered to be Germany’s darkest and most enchanting live entities to surface in the last decades: The Ruins Of Beverast. Supporting them are German Blackened Death Metal trio Drowned, a name that’s made a heavy impact on the scene and raising Hell wherever they go.
This double-bill is a very rare and special presence here, something not to be missed. Experiencing these two incredibly heavy acts in a proper club setting, where they can perform and be witnessed at their fullest potential, is something that’s going to leave a heavy and emotional impact on everyone present. You’re gonna be blown away - the dynamics of this event are very different than anything we’ve done till now.
Local support will come from Anicon and Luminous Vault. Anicon will be joining the two German bands on their trek to Chicago’s Metal Threat Festival (they’ll make a stop next day in Pittsburgh at Smiling Moose), so the proceeds from this show will go towards paying for all the expenses to make this happen: the rental of two vans, food, gas, hotels, etc. Should these shows do well, there will be more such collaborations between us and Chicago’s Metal Threat. We’re already planning future events together and tossing ideas around, but ultimately it’s the public that decides if they continue or not – all we can do is try to create this sustainable platform where we can fly over great European acts that don’t get to come here often, and offer them the chance to perform in excellent indoor settings giving their music justice. Anything below that, any compromise in terms of the quality of the experience in itself, is a disservice to all and makes everything pointless. In the end it’s only those few performance that stand the test of time of our collective memory that truly matter. Hope this makes sense.
STARDUST NYC has another event booked at Saint Vitus the same week, also in collaboration with Metal Threat Chicago, only three days before this one. Unfortunately, July 12th’s bill can’t be announced until MDF is over because the headlining band is performing at MDF. Incidentally, we happen to think this act is going to be the One performance that’s gonna smoke the entire fest much like they did seven years ago with Aura Noir (probably our greatest memory of the fest next to seeing Bolt Thrower two nights in a row!), but maybe we’re just being biased. The point is, if you love Classic Heavy Metal from Hell, and you want to experience one of the most vicious and uncompromising live acts Ever, be in New York on July 12th. This is the last warning.
We’ll be working on writing a proper biography for Ruins Of Beverast in the next couple of days, because there’s so much going on behind this name, between being the child of Nagelfar’s creator (one of the greatest German Black Metal bands no longer in existence) and having members of Secrets Of The Moon, Ascension, Drowned, Dark Fortress, In The Woods.
