Italian melodic death doom metal warriors GHOSTHEART NEBULA made waves upon the release of their 2018 demo "REVERIES".

Now, GHOSTHEART NEBULA are back with the bands anticipated debut "ASCENSION".

GHOSTHEART NEBULA'S "ASCENSION" kicks off with "MIRA" as the track features guest vocals from LUCIA EMMANUELLI. "MIRA" is a mournful opus starting at snails pace and clocking in over 11 minutes. Melodic guitars grace "MIRA" with keyboards for an epic atmosphere.

MAURIZIO CAVERZAN pulls of a convincing vocal performance.At 6:24 LUCIA EMMANUELLI. vocals dance within "MIRA" giving the track an ethereal feel. as light piano closes the track.

GHOSTHEART NEBULA'S "CHRYSALIS" enters in heavy and epic, funeral doom glory. Proggy instrumentation balances out a heavy soft dynamic as spoken word and yelled vocals punctuate "CHRYSALIS" in an awesome vocal performance. Melodic guitars adorn "CHRYSALIS" in all beauty.

GHOSTHEART NEBULA'S "HIKIKOMORI" crawls in as melodic funeral doom with strong underlying melody. At 2:05, "HIKIKOMORI" breaks sown for a mournful instrumental segueing into a melodic guitar solo. "HIKIKOMORI" crawls out for an epic funeral slow dance.

GHOSTHEART NEBULA'S "THE CAGE" enters with dramatic piano an again, another epic vocal performance via CAVERZAN. "THE CAGE" picks up the pace as melodic guitars riffs adorn an epic, forlorn atmosphere.

GHOSTHEART NEBULA'S "ASCENSION" PART 1: COSMIC RIVER" enters with strummed guitar and an interesting melody. Dramatic keyboard and guitars dance together for "ASCENSION" PART 1: COSMIC RIVER'S" emotional journey. At 3:30, .guest vocalist GOGO MELONE. adorns "ASCENSION" PART 1: COSMIC RIVER" with beautiful clean vocals, "The river flows in only one direction" sings MELONE as the song segues into an epic duet with CAVERZAN. "ASCENSION" PART 1: COSMIC RIVER" speeds into the distance with blast beats. EPIC!

GHOSTHEART NEBULA'S "ASCENSION PART II: MY BURIAL DREAM" enters in with heavy and mournful riffing to a funeral doom pace.with light keyboards. At 2:50 "ASCENSION PART II: MY BURIAL DREAM" breaks for an adorable atmospherics, a melodic guitar solo with spoken word and death metal vocals. Epic piano paints a depressive atmosphere as at 6:42 GHOSTHEART NEBULA picks up the pace for an excellent and emotional performance.

GHOSTHEART NEBULA'S "ASCENSION" closes with "ASCENSION PART III: NEBULA" enters within an ominous and forlorn atmosphere for a cosmic journey. At 4:12 "ASCENSION PART III: NEBULA" takes off in flight to the stars via blast beats and lightly sprinkled synths. yelled and screamed vocals, melodic riffs and light piano are a paint brush to epic melodies as "ASCENSION PART III: NEBULA" uplifts the spirit..

GHOSTHEART NEBULA has done the impossible, unleashing a STUNNING debut to the masses.

GHOSTHEART NEBULA'S "ASCENSION" perfectly melds forlorn atmospheres with heavy and melodic riffing. GHOSTHEART NEBULA'S "ASCENSION" part I, II and III should be listened to as a whole track.

There is evidence of funeral doom on GHOSTHEART NEBULA'S "ASCENSION". However, the complex songwriting structures are interesting enough to keep listeners engaged for some lengthy tracks.

MAURIZIO CAVERZAN'S death metal vocals, LUCIA EMMANUELLI'S and GOGO MELONE'S. .clean female vocals are well performed giving GHOSTHEART NEBULA'S "ASCENSION" an ep\c, emotive feel.

. GHOSTHEART NEBULA have a unique sound and concept: From despair, death and cosmic spirituality this band has a world of potential and one of the more insightful releases of 2021.
