ITP V.026 SPORTS: THANK YOU HOWIE ROSE (NEW YORK METS RADIO ANNOUNCER)

 

PUT IT IN THE BOOKS! 

Legendary NEW YORK METS BASEBALL radio announcer HOWIE ROSE is retiring and today is his last game, on the last home game of the season for the NEW YORK METS. 

 HOWIE ROSE was also a radio announcer for the NEW YORK ISLANDERS and NEW YORK RANGERS hockey clubs back in the 90's. 

ITP V.026 EDITORS NOTE: Here in New York we've been lucky to have great sports announcers. From MARV ALBERT, (NEW YORK KNICKS, NATIONAL ANNOUNCER), JOHN STERLING (NEW YORK YANKEES RADIO BROADCASTER-RIP),and the NEW YORK RANGERS TV ANNOUNCER SAM ROSEN. 

Also current announcers MIKE BREEN and WALT CLYDE FRASIER for the NEW YORK KNICKS..

GARY  (COHEN), KEITH (HERNANDEZ) and RON. (DARLING) for the NEW YORK METS. 

I'll miss HOWIE ROSE's calls on the radio, he was "Amazin'".  Hopefully THE NEW YORK METS and PHILADELPHIS PHILLIES can get a game in today vs. inclement weather as the game starts at 1:10pm.

The Mets aren't responsible for the weather, but having this forecast on the last day of the home schedule, and on Howie's retirement day is such a bummer. Par for the course with how this season went. Still no call on the game. Hopefully soon.
