IRON BONEHEAD PRODUCTIONS is proud to present a long-overdue reissue of SEVENTH XUL's lone recording, Qliphothic Rites of Death, on 7" vinyl. Originally released in 2010 in extremely scarce quantities, Qliphothic Rites of Death is a true gem of the black/death underground, and made all the more infamous/mysterious due to SEVENTH XUL disbanding right after its release. With both members SEVENTH XUL hailing from the vibrant Greek scene - and doing or having done time in such bands as Acherontas, Burial Hordes, Nocternity, Acrimonious, and Enshadowed among others - in 2010, a vision to create something different from their standard ways of expression came to mind. Labelled "a manifestation of a Qliphotic work through death/black metal vibrations," the duo of Acherontas V.Priest and N.E.C.R.O (with session guest Fotis Bernado) sought to embrace their shadowside through an esoteric approach. Thus, Qliphothic Rites of Death became an endlessly roiling, highly dynamic maelstrom of molten might and sepulchral depth, evincing the heaving but no-less-twisted muscle of true and trend-free death metal but emanating the otherworldly atmosphere of the best black metal. In the band's own words, "The Ayin of Creation and Destruction Forces crowned this effort, and the necromantical vision took form in 2010 only for this release.The band split up immediately, as we felt that this was our only goal from the beginning. A unique release serving that period of wondering & isolation..."
