Brooklyn Center,  MINNESOTA police officer KIM POTTER has resigned after shooting and killing 20 year old  DAUNTE WRIGHT after a traffic stop.

Brooklyn Center Police Chief  TIM GANNON also resigned.

DAUNTE WRIGHT was pulled over in his car when police discovered he had an active warrant for failure to appear in court over an unrelated charge.

While being handcuffed by police DAUNTE WRIGHT walked into his car. MINNESOTA police officer  KIM POTTER walked to WRIGHT'S car and pulled out her gun, yelling "Taser", confusing the gun with the taser shooting WRIGHT' in the chest and killing him

DAUNTE WRIGHT'S death at the hands Brooklyn Center,  MINNESOTA police has sparked days of protests, a state of emergency and curfew in the region.

DAUNTE WRIGHT was only 20 years old leaving behind a two year old son. DAUNTE WRIGHT was unarmed.

ITP V.021 EDITORS NOTE:

First of all, R.I.P.  to DAUNTE WRIGHT and condolences to his friends and family.

Police brutality and has got to end and we need serious police reform here in the U.S.A.

There are actions and consequences. DAUNTE WRIGHT could have caught another charge for resisting arrest or governmental obstruction. However, DAUNTE WRIGHT should have been apprehended ALIVE.

KIM POTTER allegedly confused her gun with a taser (she was seen holding her gun in body cam footage as she approached  DAUNTE WRIGHT) shooting WRIGHT stating "Oh Sh*T I shot him".

I've read lots of on line comments about DAUNTE WRIGHT and  Brooklyn Center,  MINNESOTA police. Many have blamed the victim of the shooting stating he should have complied with police orders. However, there is NO death penalty here in the U.S.A. for resisting arrest or non compliance.

We can't have this in the U.S.A: We can't have cops executing unarmed civilians for non compliance..DAUNTE WRIGHT was entitled to due process of criminal law, safety in police custody and the same human and civil rights afforded to every individual.

There should be consequences for former Brooklyn Center,  MINNESOTA   police officer  KIM POTTER as her "ooopsie" mistake cost WRIGHT his life. Perhaps, after an investigation POTTER  should be charged with negligent   homicide or manslaughter.

For all, who believe DAUNTE WRIGHT "brought his death upon himself", you must be a sociopath.

After all this police brutality here in the U.SA., we are no different than the countries we sanction (and sometimes invade) for human rights abuses.

I hope there is justice for DAUNTE WRIGHT, as a taser and gun are of different weight and texture as POTTER un did the safety on her glock.

If you're protesting the murder of DAUNTE WRIGHT, be safe and stay out of trouble.

This is appropriately powerful (Author David Gray)...
"I need to drive my two-year-old to daycare tomorrow morning. To ensure we arrive alive, we won't take public transit (Oscar Grant). I removed all air fresheners from the vehicle and double-checked my registration status (Daunte Wright), and ensured my license plates were visible (Lt. Caron Nazario). I will be careful to follow all traffic rules (Philando Castille), signal every turn (Sandra Bland), keep the radio volume low (Jordan Davis), and won't stop at a fast food chain for a meal (Rayshard Brooks). I'm too afraid to pray (Rev. Clementa C. Pickney) so I just hope the car won't break down (Corey Jones).
When my wife picks him up at the end of the day, I'll remind her not to dance (Elijah McClain), stop to play in a park (Tamir Rice), patronize the local convenience store for snacks (Trayvon Martin), or walk around the neighborhood (Mike Brown). Once they are home, we won't stand in our backyard (Stephon Clark), eat ice cream on the couch (Botham Jean), or play any video games (Atatiana Jefferson).
After my wife and I tuck him into bed around 7:30pm, neither of us will leave the house to go to Walmart (John Crawford) or to the gym (Tshyrand Oates) or on a jog (Ahmaud Arbery). We won't even walk to see the birds (Christian Cooper). We'll just sit and try not to breathe (George Floyd) and not to sleep (Breonna Taylor)."
These are things white people simply do not have to think about."
