Brooklyn Center, MINNESOTA police officer KIM POTTER has been arrested and charged with MANSLAUGHTER after shooting and killing 20 year old DAUNTE WRIGHT after a traffic stop.

Yesterday, Brooklyn Center, MINNESOTA police officer KIM POTTER resigned after shooting DAUNTE WRIGHT. Brooklyn Center Police Chief TIM GANNON also resigned.

DAUNTE WRIGHT was pulled over in his car when police discovered he had an active warrant for failure to appear in court over an unrelated charge.

While being handcuffed by police DAUNTE WRIGHT walked into his car. MINNESOTA police officer KIM POTTER walked to WRIGHT'S car and pulled out her gun, yelling "Taser", confusing the gun with the taser shooting WRIGHT' in the chest and killing him

DAUNTE WRIGHT'S death at the hands Brooklyn Center, MINNESOTA police has sparked days of protests, a state of emergency and curfew in the region.

DAUNTE WRIGHT was only 20 years old leaving behind a two year old son. DAUNTE WRIGHT was unarmed.

Protests over the fatal police shooting of unarmed 20-year-old Daunte Wright are stretching into a fourth night in the Twin Cities area.

The officer who killed him, Kim Potter, has been charged with second-degree manslaughter and released from jail on a $100,000 bond. She worked at the department for over 20 years, was a field training officer, and led the local police association.

Brooklyn Center's Police Chief Tim Gannon has resigned and the City Manager has been fired.

A 10 PM - 6 AM curfew is in effect for Brooklyn Center tonight. Minneapolis is not under curfew tonight.
