STATION 4 (ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA USA): CLOSING SUMMER 2013 FOR RENOVATIONS

ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA nightclub STATION 4 have announced the club is TEMPORARILY closing for the summer of 2013 until LABOR DAY for renovations. Shows announced previous to the STATION 4
renovation project have been moved to regional venues.





FROM STATION 4:
The building owners of 201 4th Street (Station 4's building) have been engaged in an 18 month battle with the City of St Paul over the City's desire for new ventilation. The City has granted the building owners two extensions, the latest of which expires on June 7th. Station 4 will have to close for 80-90 days to complete the ventilation work because it will lack a Certificate of Occupancy until the new system is approved.

Unfortunately, this means after Friday’s show we will be closed until Labor Day.

I have been dreading writing this as we were hoping to get an extension from the city so that the shows already scheduled this summer could happen. I myself have a big show scheduled next week that now will be canceled.

The good news is that when we re-open in September, we will have a new HVAC system. In other words, no more ungodly heat! It just sucks that we have to shut down to get it.

That’s all I can tell you for now. For anyone who has any shows scheduled, we are sorry. This is now out of our control. We will work to try to reschedule for the fall. As far as National shows, refunds are available at point of purchase.

I will keep things updated on this page when I know what’s going on. I am just a guy who runs the Facebook page. I do not have much power.

STATION 4 (ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA USA) MOVED SHOWS: FROM VREID:
On the 24th of June we will play at Povs 65 in Spring Lake Park.
This will replace the show at Station in St.Paul, which is closed down this summer.

UPDATE: 8/9/2013: 
Ok here's what I got from the owner of the building and Station 4. There will be 3 rooms, I dunno how many people would identify the 3rd bay? Anyway, if you line it up 1 2 3....1 being the entrance and current bar area, 2 being the current stage room or venue area, and 3 being the third bay.....#1 will be a venue with a bar in it, #2 will be a sit down area to have food and there will also be a bar in there. It will also be used as a merchandise area for nationals, #3 will also be a venue, almost as large as the current stage room if not the same size. There will also be a bar in there. Nothing was said about limiting genre of music, and really the only defining statement was that it'll be a "rock" club. No idea the time frame on the remodel. Again this was a short conversation earlier with the owner and this is the plan, so if everything goes to plan that's what we'll have.
