Mumbai, India based thrash metal warriors SCEPTRE are taking a stand against misogyny in a country with a high rate of violence against women.
SCEPTRE's "Age Of Calamity", unleashed 2/15/2013 (self released and releases on COUNTER CULTURE RECORDS) is a concept release challenging violence against women.
KIM KELLY (GRIM KIM) interviewed SCEPTRE for THE ATLANTIC.
FROM SCEPTRE:
It might not seem like it, but thrash metal has often addressed societal ills. In Mumbai, Sceptre's members were inspired by their family and made the new album to take on the misogyny within the metal scene and in their country.
